Xiaomi is all set to launch the next version of its popular entry-level Redmi series with the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Both the smartphones will launch on 7th December in China. Xiaomi teased the launch via a Weibo post focusing on full-screen displays.
Apart from the 18:9 aspect ratio display Weibo post doesn’t reveal anything. The smartphones will sport a 5.7-inch HD+ display and the Redmi 5 will run on 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 425 processor. Ever since Microsoft announced that they are not working on the Windows Phones or Windows Mobile, the company is constantly trying to make iOS and Android work better with Microsoft apps and Windows platform.
Latest to join the effort is the Photo companion app for iOS and Android which will help users to quickly transfer photos from their phone to a PC. You just need to be connected to the same Wifi network for this to work. Windows Insiders will be soon able to test the new app.
Facebook-owned popular photo-sharing app Instagram announced a new feature called Remixing. This remixing feature allows you to remix your friend’s photo and send them back and have some fun conversations. So you can now edit your friend’s photo and add your own too. When viewing a photo message from a friend, tap the camera icon at the bottom and capture a reply. Your reply includes a sticker of what you’re replying to. Move and resize it, and add your own twist to stickers, text, and drawings. You can remix photos back and forth for a fun visual of your conversation.
Instagram also allows you to control replay. Choose “One View” for messages you want your friends to only see once. For everything else, choose “Allow Replay” so your friends have more time to view your messages. This new update is now available on both Instagram for Android and iOS version 24.Whatsapp has recently updated its iOS app adding a new functionality which will enable Whatsapp to play youtube videos within the app.
This new update brings the app version to 2.17.81, which is live on the app store. The new feature is currently disabled by WhatsApp and will take you to youtube app for playing the video. Whatsapp will soon enable this feature by making changes on the server.
Micromax recently launched a new series aimed at providing affordable 4G VoLTE smartphones and feature phones to users called the Bharat Series. And now Micromax is all set to launch the latest offering in the series called the Bharat 5. The smartphone will be priced at ₹6,999and will house a massive 5,000mAh battery which can give up to 27 hours of talk time and 500 hours on standby. The smartphone can also be used as a power bank as you can charge other devices with it.
Bharat 5 is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 32GB. It sports a 5.2 inch HD display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
