After teasing the heavily on social media, Xioami has finally launched their next entry-level Redmi smartphones called the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus in China. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 is priced at CNY 799 around ₹ 7,80) for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant, while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899 around ₹8,800.
The Redmi 5 Plus is priced at CNY 999 around ₹9,700 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant price is CNY 1,299 around ₹12,700. Both smartphones will be available in China starting 12th December. Registrations will be open soon.
The Redmi 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The Redmi 5 Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Both the smartphones are dual sim smartphones with dedicated SD card slot.
Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD 18:9 display and houses a 3,300 mAh battery. Redmi 5 Plus sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display and houses 4,000 mAh battery. Both the smartphones sports 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with soft light for better selfies.
