Last week, Xiaomi announced that they are going to launch a new Redmi smartphone in India on 14th February. All there teaser images included a big five, indicating the launch of either the Redmi 5 Plus or Redmi Note 5. Now according to a new leak, it is confirmed that it is indeed the much awaited Redmi Note 5.
A new teaser video was released which leaked out the Redmi Note 5 launch. The source has now taken down the video but we got what we needed. Now let’s just hope that Xiaomi will not launch the Redmi 5 Plus as the Redmi Note 5 in India. Last week Xiaomi also accidentally revealed about the Redmi Note 5 via its website source code.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will have thinner bezels and will sport a dual camera setup. This 18:9 display comes with thinner top and bottom bezels. At the back, you can see a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner just below it. According to previous leaks, the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor and maybe Snapdragon 630 for India.
Where MediaTek will note be available. It will be available in three variants 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 5 will sport a 5.65 inch Full HD + Display and rear fingerprint scanner just below the expected vertical dual camera setup.
Though the listing on TENAA shows a single camera setup and a dual camera setup at the front for selfies.The smartphone is expected to start at CNY 1,299 around ₹12,499 and will be available in Black and Gold color variants. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
