LG is all set to launch the 2018 version of its popular LG V30 smartphone later this month at MWC 2018. This is the same smartphone which was in rumors for quite a while as the LG V30s. LG will use LG V30 2018 to showcase its “Smartphone AI” features. LG will be using these AI features in their upcoming 2018 flagship series.
“As we communicated last month at CES, the future for LG lies in AI, not just hardware specs and processing speeds,” said Ha Jeung-uk, senior vice president and business unit leader for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Creating smarter smartphones will be our focus going forward and we are confident that consumers will appreciate the advanced user experience with the enhanced V30 that many have been asking and waiting for.”
The LG V30 2018 will be similar to its predecessors, LG V30 and LG V30 Plus. The only difference other than the new AI features will be the V30 2018 might come with 256GB of internal storage. LG is talking about two of its AI called the Vision AI for imaging processing and Voice AI for LG -Exclusive voice commands.
The new LG V30 2018 will come with 32 LG-exclusive Google Assistant voice commands up from 23 in LG V30 2017. For example “Ok Google, Take a picture on a wide angle”. It will take a wide-angle photo. The Vision AI, on the other hand, will further improve the already great camera of the LG V30. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates from MWC 2018.
