Xiaomi is all set to launch some new products later this month at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. While everyone was expecting Xiaomi to launch the Mi 7, according to the latest rumors Xiaomi will be delaying the launch of the Mi 7 and will launch the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s at MWC 2018 instead.
A new render posted on Weibo shows the design of the Mi MIX 2s along with some essential features of the smartphone. The smartphone will come with the Full-Screen Display 3.0 technology and will have a four-sided curved ceramic unibody design. This means that there will be thinner bezels and all new curved design.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s will be the world’s first smartphone to run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The smartphone will come with 256GB UFS internal storage and will support all the major global 4G LTE brands. The render shows a rear placed fingerprint scanner.
But, according to the leak, it might come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. It will come with a 12-megapixel dual camera setup at the back. Another leak looks like the official product banner of the smartphone, which matches the above specifications. In this banner there is no fingerprint scanner, therefore we can expect and under-display fingerprint scanner.
This banner also mentions that the display will be of 5.99 inches. This time the front camera has been moved to the top right corner of the device. Just like iPhone X has a big notch in the middle, Mi MIX 2s will have a small area for the fingerprint scanner. Are you excited about the Mi MIX 2s launch?
