Huawei has launched another 18:9 aspect ratio display smartphone called the Huawei Y9 2018. The mid-range smartphone has been launched in Thailand and the pricing has not been revealed yet. We don’t know if Huawei will bring this device outside Thailand or not. We expect Huawei to launch this device with a different name in other markets.
The Huawei Y9 2018 is powered by its own Kirin 659 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 32GB. The smartphone sports a 5.93-inch IPS LCD 18:9 aspect ratio display. It comes with 1080×2160 Full HD display. Huawei has launched a lot of 18:9 aspect ratio smartphones.
The camera specs one the Huawei Y9 2018 is same as the one found on Mate 10 Lite. It comes with a dual camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera for depth sensing to create the popular Bokeh Effect. The front-facing camera is also a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor.
The secondary sensor here is of 2-megapixel, again for collecting depth information to create the bokeh effect via the front camera too. The Y9 2018 runs on Android Oreo out of the box with EMUI interface on top. The Quad-Camera smartphone houses a 4,000 mAh battery. Huawei has not revealed anything about the availability yet but we will update once we get the information. Stay tuned to Sdi Tech for more tech updates.
