Apple’s MacBook Pro range of laptops are great for creative professionals but the Pro range is quite expensive. Especially when compared to similarly specced Windows laptop. On the other hand, Apple’s MacBook Air lineup is not that expensive but is only suitable for casual usage.
Now according to a new report, Apple is planning to launch a new entry-level MacBook variant soon, most probably at or around Apple’s World Wide Developers conference. The laptop is expected to be priced similarly to MacBook Air lineup or it might be a bit expensive than the Air.
The new MacBook will use the same 13.-3 inch 256ox1600 display found on the MacBook Pro. Which is one of the best displays in a laptop. But according to a report by Digitimes, the new MacBook will have displays from LG and not the usual China-based vendor due to some issues with the vendor.
Apple for quite some time is focusing on its Pro lineup of MacBooks and even on other areas with the iMac Pro and upcoming Mac Pro. According to a senior analyst at Digitimes, the shipments of the upcoming MacBook are expected to reach four million units by the end of 2018.
As told earlier, people don’t want to spend over ₹100K on a MacBook Pro and at the same time don’t want to settle for less with the ₹50K MacBook Air. This new MacBook might be the perfect solution for these users. The new MacBook is expected to enter mass production by late May or early June.
The report also mentions that the affordable 9.7-inch iPad and the iPad Pro will also get updated in the second half of 2018. If Apple launched this new entry-level MacBooks with decent specs, it can surely give Apple’s MacBook sale a boost. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
