Last year, Xiaomi launched its entry-level smartphone called the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. While the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage was priced at ₹6,999, the 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage variant was available at a special price of ₹4,999 for the first the first 5 million units. Now the company has sold the first 5 million units, so it is now available at its original price.
The smartphone will be available at its original price of ₹5,999 via Mi.com and Flipkart. The smartphone is powered by the 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 128GB.
It sports a 5 inch HD display and comes with a reading mode. It comes with a 13MP rear camera: f/2.2 aperture, 5-element lens and PDAF for fast focusing and a 5MP front camera: f/2.0 aperture, Smart, and pro beautify features. The dual sim smartphone houses a 3,000 mAh battery.
